Description:
Overview of service outages:
– Limited datacenter systems availability during network maintenance
– Windows services such as Sharepoint, Vault filesystem, Citrix
– Managed customer systems, including VMs, desktops and physical servers
– Oracle and MySQL database
– Web sites run on shared webfarm infrastructure
– Commvault backup infrastructure
Additional Details:
– Network switch patching will occur between 5PM and 8PM. During the patch and reboot cycle any system attached to in-rack switches will lose network connectivity. Systems directly connected to distribution switches or core routers will not be affected.
– Windows Servers will be patched to protect against recently released vulnerabilities. Services such as file shares, printing, Sharepoint and Citrix will be intermittently unavailable as the machines are rebooted between 5PM and 11PM
– Solaris patching of the following systems. During the maintenance the systems will be patched and rebooted once. Scheduled outage is 5PM – 9PM PDT:
