SDSC Emergency Maintenance – Cloud SSLv2/SSLv3 disable – 11:00, 1 Mar 2016

Due to the DROWN SSL exploit that was published today, SDSC has disabled SSLv2 and SSLv3 on the cloud.sdsc.edu website because it puts all users’ encrypted authentication and data at risk of being compromised by 3rd parties.

This change will not affect most clients. Updating your client software should resolve any connection issues since both SSLv2 and SSLv3 have been deprecated and have been considered insecure since 2014.
