Tonight, 25 Feb 2021 at 23:00, SDSC will perform emergency maintenance on a core networking router. Two network outages of approximately 90 seconds each will be experienced while engineers perform the maintenance.
SDSC will divert traffic to the redundant router at the beginning of the window. While network paths reconverge, the first 90 second outage will occur. We anticipate the maintenance will take about 10 minutes plus additional time for engineers to validate configurations and functionality. Following the work on the router, the primary unit will take over routing, resulting in the second 90 second outage.
This will impact most SDSC IP space including in-office connections, datacenter-hosted systems, and managed platforms.
