WORK COMPLETED: Friday 6/22/2012 6-8AM: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT’S “NOTICE OF INTENT”TO PERFORM ELECTRICAL SWITCHING ON CAMPUS

Dear colleagues,

We received this notice (see below) today.  Please be advised that while this maintenance should not affect campus power we are providing this notification so you have the opportunity to shut your equipment down prior to the commencement of the work should you chose to.

We will send notification with any received status updates or upon the completion of the maintenance.

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT’S “NOTICE OF INTENT” TO PERFORM ELECTRICAL SWITCHING ON CAMPUS

This is Facilities Management’s “Notice of Intent” to perform electrical switching on Friday, June 22, 2012, beginning at 6:00 am, and ending at 8:00 am.

This work is necessary to continue repairs at the East Campus Substation as a result of the May 26th fire.

This is a situation that could have an impact on the electrical system if problems occur during the switching. The plan is to not have this happen and we will take all precautions that we can, but we wanted you to be aware that the possibility does exist.

We expect the work to start promptly at 6:00 AM.  We will send out a reminder notice 5 minutes prior to commencement of operations, and will send out notification once the work is completed.

Thank you for your understanding while we perform this necessary electrical work.  If you have any questions regarding this electrical switching, please call the Customer Relations Help Desk at Ext. 42930.
