FACILITIES MANAGEMENT’S “NOTICE OF INTENT” TO PERFORM ELECTRICAL SWITCHING ON CAMPUS
This is Facilities Management’s “Notice of Intent” to perform electrical switching on Monday, July 23, 2012, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 and Wednesday, July 25, 2012. This work will begin at 6:30 am and end at 10:30 am each day.
This switching work has been requested by FD&C to allow for tie-in of both the Jacobs Medical Center andHealth Sciences Bio-Medical Research Facility 2.
This is routine work that is not expected to affect power to any part of the campus; however, given the current grid configuration as a result of the May 26, 2012 transformer fire, there is the possibility that normal power could be affected during switching operations. As always, FM will take every precaution possible to prevent any problems from occurring, and will have personnel standing by to handle any emergencies, should they occur.
We expect the work to start promptly each day at 6:30 am and we will send out a “Reminder” notice 5 minutes prior to commencement of operations, and will send out an “Update” notification once the work is completed for the day.
