Title: SDSC PM Notification – 18 Dec 2012, 5pm-1am – Network, Solaris, Windows patching
Description: Overview of service outages:
– All datacenter systems unavailable during network maintenance (11pm – 1am)
– Windows services such as Sharepoint, Vault filesystem, Citrix unavailable during patching
– Managed customer UNIX systems unavailable during patching
– Project storage CIFS/NFS filesystems unavailable
Additional Detail:
– Core network switches will be upgraded to latest firmware release at 11pm. During this outage the redundant pair will be offline and all customer systems attached to SDSC fabric may lose connectivity. This maintenance is expected to take 30 minutes but has been scheduled for 2 hours.
– Solaris patching of the following systems. During the maintenance the systems will be patched and rebooted once. Scheduled outage is 5pm – 9pm PDT:
