This message is to inform you that ITS and SDSC engineers have scheduled two planned maintenance windows involving upgrades to the campus border routers.
1st Event
WHEN : September 5, 2018 6AM-8AM
WHAT : Backup Border Router maintenance and upgrades to resolve bugs and enable new features
IMPACT : Backup Internet paths will be taken down during this window. No impact to network traffic to/from UCSD-SDSC during this maintenance window. Primary paths will remain in use.
2nd Event
WHEN : September 6, 2018 6AM-8AM
WHAT : Primary Border Router maintenance and upgrades to resolve bugs and enable new features
IMPACT : Primary Internet paths will be taken down during this window. Backup paths will be in place via the backup border router. Some uniquely attached, specialized research network connections may be unavailable during this window. General Internet traffic will switch to our backup paths.
