SDSC Datacenter Operations under COVID-19 response

Dear Colleagues,

In an attempt to reduce confusion with regards to decisions made within the University of California, I wanted to reach out regarding your SDSC colocation service. It is true that UC San Diego has taken steps to reduce the number of people on campus in an effort to help contain COVID-19 (Coronavirus). That said, the data center will continue to operate as normal and continue to be staffed 24×7 in support of our customers.

With that in mind we encourage you to utilize our remote hands services to meet any of your needs as usual, and please forward all questions/concerns/requests to colosupport@sdsc.edu – our standard ticketing/support channel. In addition, the emergency contact phone for the Operations Department is (858)534-5090 if direct contact is needed, but I ask that you continue to follow normal procedure of opening a ticket first so the team has some context for your needs. SDSC will also post and maintain any updates to our status page – status.sdsc.edu – so please check there for updated information as well.

Best Regards,
–Jeff
