[Update 21:48] The first update of four is complete. We saw limited outages during the firewall reboots.
[Update 21:26] Management software updates are complete. Engineers will load the first update to the firewall units and reboot as necessary. During the system reboots, networks and services behind the firewalls will be unavailable.

SDSC Staff and Colleagues:
On Thursday, 27 May 2021 between 21:00 and 23:00 SDSC will perform maintenance on the SDSC firewalls which will cause network disruptions for some systems. SDSC-provided services such as DNS, authentication, managed web hosting, and managed systems hosting are affected by this maintenance. Some systems colocated in the SDSC Datacenter or SDSC Building may not lose direct network access, but may rely on some services that will be unavailable.
We anticipate intermittent outages during this maintenance period while the firewalls are updated and rebooted.
