SDSC Incident Alert – Partial West Datacenter Power Outage – 11:40, 19 Oct 2017

[Update: 12:32, 19 Oct 2017] Power has been restored and services restored. —- A power circuit breaker has failed causing loss of power to six racks in the West datacenter. The affected rack customers include: LJI UCLA UCSD Library Campus electricians have been notified.

SDSC Emergency Maintenance – Cloud SSLv2/SSLv3 disable – 11:00, 1 Mar 2016

Due to the DROWN SSL exploit that was published today, SDSC has disabled SSLv2 and SSLv3 on the cloud.sdsc.edu website because it puts all users’ encrypted authentication and data at risk of being compromised by 3rd parties. SDSC Outage Notification – Cloud Storage & Compute – 4 Feb 2016, 12:39

[Update, 13:19] Service has been restored. A 10Gb cable was inadvertently removed which provided service to the load balancer. That cable has been replaced. The loadbalancer which provides access to both SDSC Cloud Storage and SDSC Cloud Compute has gone offline. Engineers are investigating.
